PC compatible Turtle Beach headsets with USB amplifiers/transmitters do not require separate USB drivers provided by Turtle Beach to function on a PC. If the headset uses a USB connection for audio output/input, generic USB drivers for the headset should install automatically. This may take a few minutes, after which the headset will be available in the Sound Settings. If the headset only requires a USB connection for power (or connects solely to a headset jack), no drivers will install as the PC will not recognize the headset as an individual audio device.
Your PC should only detect that a device is plugged into the headset jack. Please reference the table below to see if your headset only uses analog connections or receives audio via USB: USB Chat/Audio Interface USB for Power and/or Analog Only (Not a USB Headset). Elite 800. P11. PLa.

The device doesn't work directly with USB 3.0 ports for some reason.
On a hunch, I plugged it into a USB2 hub connected to the USB3.0 Port (only have 3.0 on the laptop) and it worked like a charm. Adobe fireworks free crack 2. The device was able to start with no issues, and all the feedback I was getting stopped. Hope this helps people out. Here are the following troubleshooting steps to perform in order to resolve an issue with a sound card. Check If Your Sound Card and Speakers are Properly Installed Check the Device Manager and see if your sound device is present.
If the driver is not present, you may need to install the latest driver. If the device is present, but there is a yellow question mark (?) or exclamation point (!) before its icon, the device driver may need to be reinstalled. To access the device manager, simply click on Start, right-click on the My Computer icon, and then select Manage. On the computer management window, select Device Manager to see the list of the devices installed on the computer. To go directly to the Device Manager, just click on Start-Run and then on the text field, type in devmgmt.msc, and press Enter. Test the sound on the control panel.
To go there, simply click on Start-Control Panel-Sound. Under the sounds tab, you will have an opportunity to test the functionality of your computer’s sound system. Check your sound devices and see if they are properly selected. Also check the volume and make sure that the controls are not muted.
Don’t forget to check the speakers. Make sure it receives power and that its volume is not set to minimum. Check for Possible Software Problems Media Player – See if the player is working correctly.
If possible, use another media player and see if the result is the same. If you did not encounter the same issue with another media or music player, it is very likely that the problem lies with software. Operating System – A lot of factors in the operating system can affect the performance of your sound card. Try to check if there are important or critical updates for your operating system and install them. If you feel that your computer system needs a quick repair, consider running System File Checker. To access it, simply click on Start-Run and then type sfc/ scannow.
Make sure you have the Windows CD inserted in your CDROM drive. The system would need it during the process. Also, in the course of your troubleshooting, before proceeding to hardware replacement, consider reinstalling the entire computer system first. Sometimes, it is the operating itself and not the hardware that is causing the problem.
If that is so, replacing the sound card or the motherboard will never resolve the issue. You would only lose your precious savings while the sound trouble still persists. Reinstall the Sound Card Driver If you have already reached this step in troubleshooting, we are then somewhat certain that the issue is more likely a hardware problem rather than a software trouble. Driver issue is the most common cause of sound card problems.
Make sure you have the latest version of the driver. It’s usually available at the manufacturer’s website. To reinstall the sound driver, you will need to uninstall the current driver first. Go to the device manager as described in the first step of this troubleshooting guide. Find the device that represents your sound card driver. Right-click on it and click Uninstall. The uninstallation setup will then show up.
Follow the instructions and restart the computer afterward. To install the latest driver, extract the installation files (they are often available in compressed format), and find the executable file.
Run the setup process and restart the computer afterward. If this is your first time to reinstall a device driver, or you are unsure of the steps involved in this procedure, consider to automatically scan your pc and update your sound card drivers. Reseat the Sound Card To reseat the sound card means to remove it from the system and put it back in. Before touching any internal device installed on the computer, make sure to avoid wearing static-inducing clothing and touch a grounded conductor (metals, etc.) to dissipate static electricity. Also, always turn off your computer, unplug the cord, and remove the battery (for portables). Consult your manufacturer’s documentation for steps in unseating and reseating the sound card. If the sound controller is integrated to your computer’s motherboard, skip this step and proceed to the next one.
After reseating the sound card, restart the computer and see if the problem is still there. If it persists, proceed to the next step. Test with Another Sound Card in Good Condition Remove the sound card and install a known-good working sound card. If the problem persists, it is highly possible that the issue is a hardware problem. Either there is a problem with the sound card, or in the sound card slot in the motherboard.
Replace the Sound Card If sound card replacement did not resolve the issue, it means that the sound card slot is damaged or no longer functional. A motherboard replacement is necessary to fix the problem. They give you stickers! Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit ASROCK Z77 Mobo i5 4670k GTX 770 So after a clean install for their new PC my friend is having this issue with the Turtle Beach Z22. It's a regular plug for audio but the microphone part is USB.
Their computer won't recognize the microphone. So after some research I found out that it might have to do with Intel's USB 3.0 Extensible Host Controller and related drivers. We uninstalled it and the headset mic started working again, but as soon as they restarted their PC they had to do a mandatory system repair and the program was back for some reason. Any solutions?
I went from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 and my Turtle Beach PX22 headset was working perfectly fine. After I ran Skype it began to auto update then Skype tells me my headset was not detected anymore. I opened my playback/recording devices tab and it was no longer in the list AFTER the Skype update. I uninstalled Skype, opened Device Manager and uninstalled my Realtek Driver then reinstalled/updated the driver, unplugged the headset ad restarted my system then plugged it back in. After that it was detected but the microphone was super static sounding and my headphones barely had sound output. I then plugged in my Blue Snowball Ice condenser usb microphone and I could barely get levels out of it. I'm all out of options here.
Is/will there be a hotfix for this issue anytime soon? I don't want to roll back to Win 8.1.
I might try reinstalling Win 10 fresh and not installing Skype. Hi, Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. I appreciate you for providing details about the issue and your efforts towards resolving it.

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows: How to: Install and Update drivers in Windows 10 Hope it helps. So I used to use windows 7 and had no problem with my Turtle Beach PX22s. Bought a fresh copy of Windows 10 Home and ran into all these problems with them.
Not being recognized, driver issues. So I got to the point where I can get the headset installed through the troubleshooting in Device and Printers. The headpphones portion is graet but then my MIC crackles like crazy and cannot be understood. I have a blue snowball which works fine, but that shouldn't be a solution to a once fine working (more expensive) communication device. I know the headset works fine on other machines so it's not the headset. I've tried different USB ports. There is no option in the properties to switch off the 'enhancements' which I hear can be an issue.
Running the 'compatiability' to me doesn't work and make any sense because it seems to be a driver issue, not a program issue. Your above solutions do not help my issue, what else can be done? OR is microsoft actually looking into a proper driver for this scenerio.
DriverAssist performs an in-depth scan of your entire system and all devices attached to it and verifies that you have the latest and most compatible drivers installed. It determines which drivers are missing, corrupt or obsolete. After the initial scan, DriverAssist matches your device with the latest and most up to date version of your drivers by scanning its 26 million drivers database. Before DriverAssist installs the new drivers, it performs a backup of your actual drivers just in case the new drivers would turn out to be incompatible with your system or device.
This is an added security for your computer. Lastly, DriverAssist downloads all the files required and installs the drivers for you. Your drivers are now up to date and your device should now be working exactly as it should. What Are Drivers? What Problems Can Corrupt Drivers Cause? Corrupted or outdated drivers often create file errors, communication problems, or hardware malfunction in Windows速. Common problems include no sound, printing malfunction, video / screen problems. How Do I Fix Driver Problems? The simplest and fastest way to resolve driver related issues is to download DriverAssist and follow the instructions.
I'm having a massive drama after upgrading my Motherboard, CPU and RAM as of 2 days ago. Just prior to purchasing my new rig, I purchased a Turtle Beach Z22 Headset from JB HiFi (Australian Retailer). It worked to perfection on my old rig - up until I replaced my Motherboard, CPU and RAM the other day. Now the Headset isn't recognised. It's supposed to be plug and play. It isn't anymore. I plug it in, it tries to install the driver software under the title of 'USB Audio Driver'.
It then fails to install. I'm 100% that I've plugged both the combined USB in various ports and the 3.5 cable in the correctly specified audio port.
It just doesn't work. I've uninstalled the driver from my Device Manager in the hopes that re-plugging the USB part back in might sort of trick it into now working. It act like it wants to install - then fails to load the drivers. Effectively - it doesn't work. No audio or microphone is picked up in my 'Playback' or 'Recording' Devices page under sound options.
I've searched the Turtle Beach forum for a driver download. There isn't one according to their site. I've attempted phone contact with the Australian support branch - they don't answer during the specified hours they state they're open. I'm pretty much ready to take it back as 'Good not fit for the purpose' and get a refund for something that works.unless the great people here can suggest something that may work!
